At Michael Herwalds we have an extensive selection of houses and apartments to suit all your renting needs. Ranging from 1 bed flats all the way to big family homes, we generally have property to fit most budgets so no matter how big or small, its likely that we will be able to have something to suit you.

We cover Prestwich, Whitefield, Salford 7, Crumpsall and Unsworth with most locations being situated near a major bus or tram routes and also the motorway network with the M60 and M66 within close range therefore perfect for commuting within Manchester, Bury or throughout the region.

All properties are available to view on our website via the search tab on the main page, just enter your criteria in the boxes provided and all available properties are displayed. We update our website on a daily basis so if the right property for you isn’t there today take a look tomorrow as new ones are coming available all the time.

We will ideally be looking for reputable people who are in full time employment, the majority of our Landlords do not accept DSS. Smoking is prohibited in the property and no pets allowed.

When you find a property you think you will be interested in please contact the office on 0161 773 5000 and we will arrange an appointment for you to view. We carry out viewings 7 days a week and if you are looking to move quickly we will do everything in our power to assist.

Once you have found a property you would like to apply for we ask that you visit our office with your most recent months bank statement and your passport, anybody aged over 18 who will be living the majority of the time at the property is required to be entered onto the tenancy agreement so we will need that information from people matching that criteria.

Once we have the bank statements and passports our rental team will speak to the landlord to confirm they are happy for you to rent the property prior to a full application being submitted. If the landlord is happy to proceed we then require £95 inc VAT per person (aged over 18) for an application. This includes the referencing, credit checking and all the paperwork for the tenant(s). If you require a Guarantor to support your application this will be a further £30 inc VAT for referencing, credit checking and the additional paperwork. These fees are non-refundable if you decide not to take the property or if you were to fail with your application due to the information gathered.

An Immigration/Residency Validation Check Fee: £19.20 inc VAT per applicant is payable direct to UK Tenant Data. This is now a legal requirement, if you require any further information, please ask for an information leaflet.

It can take 48 hours for the applications to be assessed, once you have passed the reference checks, we take the deposit which is equivalent to one month’s rent plus £100 (e.g. deposit of £500 + £100 = £600) in order to secure the tenancy, however, if you decide not to take the property at a later date, then this fee is non-refundable. 

We will then arrange a suitable 'move in date' when you can pay the first months rent (rent is always paid in advance), sign the tenancy agreement and collect the keys to your new home.

When you come to vacate you are required to give one months notice prior to your final payment date at the end of your tenancy agreement, upon moving out there will be a small charge of £60.00 for the move out inspection that will be undertaken by Michael Herwald & Co, this cost will be deducted from the deposit monies held by us.
